How to avoid the Junk Mail folder

To reduce the likely hood of your emails ending up in  “Junk mail”, you will need to get your IT support person (or Internet service provider) to setup a Sender Policy Framework record (SPF record).

The “SPF record” identifies the “SiteBook mail server” as being a “permitted sender” of emails on your behalf, thus reducing the risk of emails being flagged as junk.

Create a TXT record in your domain name server (DNS) that includes that include the SiteBook domain i.e. containing this text:  include:mailserver.sitebook.com.au

For example, in the case where you do not already have a spf record, you add a TXT type DNS record like this:

v=spf1 include:mailserver.sitebook.com.au ~all

 

In the case where you already have a spf record, then we recommend that you update your existing SPF record instead of creating multiple records.

For Example, if you have an existing record like this:

v=spf1 ip4:83.206.106.17 ~all

then include the SiteBook mail server like this:

v=spf1 ip4:83.206.106.17 include:mailserver.sitebook.com.au ~all

Remember to send a test email to someone you know, after making channges to templates or SPF records.
